Wendell A. McCain is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Legacy Two Advisors, a minority-owned investment firm managing the MDI Keeper’s Fund. He is also the founder, chairman, and CEO of Onset Capital Partners, a global alternative investment firm.

With over 20 years of private equity experience, Mr. McCain actively manages social impact investments and has helped circle a $1 billion pledge fund supporting homeownership, renewable energy, clean water, and MDIs. Prior to founding Onset, Mr. McCain Co-Founded and led Parish Capital Advisors, a global private equity firm that grew to over $2 billion before being sold in 2010.

He began his career at NC National Bank under the mentorship of Hugh McColl and has held leadership roles at BancBoston Ventures, Oppenheimer & Co., and Lazard Frères. Mr. McCain holds a BA from UNC Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar, and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School. He serves on several boards, including the Nature Conservancy in North Carolina and UNC's Civil Rights Center.
